WT Engineering

Specialist engineering support for electrified, battery powered, and safety critical products.

Specialist engineering support for electrified, battery powered, and safety critical products.

WT Engineering helps companies answer questions such as:

  • What standards and regulatory requirements apply?

  • What evidence will a customer, test lab, or certification body expect?

  • Are the product requirements traceable to the applicable standards?

  • Are the safety functions, diagnostics, and fault responses clearly defined?

  • Is the validation plan strong enough to support certification or customer approval?

Support may include standards mapping, compliance gap assessment, functional safety documentation, validation planning, certification readiness review, and technical file preparation.

Engineer, Founder

William Wright, P.Eng. is an electrical and compliance engineer with 10+ years of experience developing safety-critical electrified systems across EV, marine, heavy-equipment, and lithium-ion battery applications.

His work spans prototype development, production support, requirements traceability, functional safety, validation planning, EMC issue resolution, certification readiness, and customer-facing technical documentation.

Before founding WT Engineering, William worked on early-stage EV development, marine battery type approval support, and safety/compliance planning for lithium-ion battery systems. This background allows WT Engineering to support both the engineering detail and the evidence needed to defend design decisions.
